1. Start with a category

2. Build a short list

4. Estimate total cost

5. Keep expectations realistic

6. Confirm the live destination

If the page redirects or now shows a different item, keep only the useful category clues and restart the comparison. Do not assume that an active link means the original listing is still available.

7. Set stop rules before payment

Pause when an essential measurement is missing, QC photos cannot show the detail you care about, the high end of the landed-cost estimate exceeds your limit, or a current policy is unclear. Remove items that duplicate something you own or were added only to justify shipping. A stop rule protects the budget when time spent building a haul makes it harder to walk away.

8. Save a compact decision record

Record the URL, date checked, intended size and color, key measurements, item and shipping estimate, unresolved questions, and the reason the piece fits your wardrobe.
